Herb & Nature Retreat
From Tuesday at 12:00 to Thursday at 16:00
We invite You to explore this multi-sensory world of healing herbs with Frantsila’s founder, Virpi Raipala-Cormier, who will offer her popular Herb and nature retreat at the Frantsila Well-Being Centre, located in the heart of the 300 year old family farm.
Virpi’s considerable herbal knowledge has been developed over a lifetime of study and practice, a practice that includes sharing that knowledge with people around the world, about everything from Finnish herbs, wild vegetarian food, yoga, meditation and all the attendant benefits of a life lived naturally. Virpi’s vital, down-to-earth teaching process, which is filled with instructive stories and practical knowledge, brings her students into a direct relationship with nature.
For example, students will identify, gather and taste real, living plants, and discover the many and versatile ways to use them, both internally and externally. Students will also learn how to make natural cosmetics from fresh and dried flowers, gathered directly from Frantsila’s herb fields and nature. Students will also have an opportunity to take a herbal sauna, using Frantsila’s well-being products, as well as a range of relaxing treatments, which are another essential part of the Frantsila experience.
We hope you can join us for these days of learning and relaxation, surrounded by classic farmhouses, full of beautiful details, and by Frantsila’s verdant herb fields and blooming gardens, which offer endless pleasures for all Your senses
To make Your stay even more special we will make a field trip to Frantsila’s Sanctuary for inner peace and serenity. Enjoy hiking in the forest and recharge your body and spirit in a 115 year old traditional smoke sauna.
Virpi Raipala-Cormier is the founder of Frantsila herb farm and she is a Master Herbalist and natural healing teacher. Co-founder and husband of Virpi, James Cormier takes care of our herbal factory and acts actively as a meditation teacher. Both have practised yoga and meditation for over 45 years.
