Heat the therapy bag in the microwave for 1.5–3 minutes, adjusting the time based on microwave power (e.g., 1.5 minutes at 990 watts). Place the warmed bag on the treatment area over clothing or a towel for 10–20 minutes.
For cooling therapy, seal the bag in a plastic bag and freeze for a few hours. Apply the chilled bag directly to the skin for 10–20 minutes.
