Frantsila’s Calendula skincare line is rooted in the rhythms of our organic herb farm in Hämeenkyrö, Finland—where Calendula flowers are grown with care under long summer light, cool northern nights, and pure air.
Each spring, we sow the seeds in warm greenhouse beds, then transplant the strong seedlings into open fields. These shifting Nordic conditions encourage Calendula to produce high levels of flavonoids and carotenoids—natural compounds that help soothe, calm, and restore the skin.
We hand-harvest the blossoms at peak bloom, gently dry them, and slowly infuse or extract them using traditional, low-temperature methods that preserve their full healing potential.
